Front-Office Java Developer For Premier Hedge Fund

One of our best clients is a premier multi-strategy hedge fund located in Midtown Manhattan with whom our firm has had a long-standing, fruitful relationship. This fund has long prided themselves on having a lean and mean technology team, one that is highly selective. Due to the small size of the team, there are very few barriers that separate these technologists from the businesses they support, with developers frequently being on a first-name basis with portfolio managers, traders, and quantitative analysts. The firm has seen its total assets under management grow considerably over the past few years, with the firm now handling in excess of $20B.

In order to further strengthen the underpinning of their trading activities, our client is now seeking to hire an experienced Front-Office Java Developer to join their team. Ideal candidates will have strong Java development skills, familiarity with SQL, and previous experience building equity trading technologies and order management systems. A degree in Computer Science from an Ivy League university of equivalent is an absolute must. Experience interacting with business-side users and a desire to constantly improve one's knowledge of the financial markets are definitely a plus.
