Database Engineer For Elite Hedge Fund

An elite quantitative hedge fund is looking for a strong database engineer. The ideal candidate will have strong database administration experience along with varied technical skills including knowledge of programming and systems administration. Experience with Sybase and/or MS SQL Server would be ideal. However, the emphasis is on high quality engineering and not technical buzzwords. Instead, they are looking for a very strong database-centric technologist with a good fundamental knowledge of computer science. Finance experience is helpful but not required.
