We're working closely with a pioneering quantitative investment firm located in Southern California that has been in business for over twenty years. They are a small company (around 30 employees) that has worked hard to foster a collaborative, team-oriented work culture with a relatively flat hierarchy. Virtually everyone at the firm is involved in software development on a daily basis, as a sophisticated technological infrastructure is vital to the execution of their investment strategies.

We've had some great success working with them lately, and in light of that they're now asking us to help them locate another outstanding technologist to join them. Ideal candidate will hold a PhD or Masters in Computer Science or a quantitative discipline (Physics, CS, Mathematics, etc.) and outstanding hands-on programming skills in either Java or C++. Prior work experience in finance is not necessary -- this client actually prefers candidates from more traditional software backgrounds.
