QA Lead For Elite Hedge Fund

My client, an elite hedge fund based in Connecticut, seeks an extremely talented QA engineer to take a leading role on their Research Technology team. The Research Technology team is charged with developing and supporting the technical platform used by the firm’s research analysts. At present, the team is building the next-generation research platform. Accordingly, the team needs a QAE lead to come in and aggressively revolutionize the QA technology, process, and people.

The ideal candidate will come from a top-tier university and have a long track record of delivering QA on technical projects at industry leading companies. The job itself require a fair amount of technical work, along the lines of deeply understanding the architecture, identifying high risk areas, and designing appropriate test plans, and standing up better automation and load/performance testing. The ideal candidate will have deep software engineering skills, systematic thinking, analytical and problem solving skills; also someone who can bring the innovation, creativity, leadership and serious hard work to help the product succeed. Moreover, the ideal candidate preferably will not come from a finance background; they are looking for someone with extensive experience in the software industry.
