Java Developer For Blue Chip Hedge Fund

Our client is an elite multi-strategy hedge fund with whom our firm has had a long-standing, fruitful relationship. This firm has long prided themselves on having a lean and mean technology team, one that is highly selective. Due to the small size of the team, there are very few barriers that separate these technologists from the businesses they support, with developers frequently being on a first-name basis with portfolio managers, traders, and quantitative analysts. The firm has seen its total assets under management grow considerably over the past few years, with the firm now handling in excess of $30B.

In order to further strengthen the underpinning of their trading activities, our client is now seeking to hire an experienced Java Developer to join their team. Ideal candidates will have strong Java development skills, in addition to being familiar with SQL and relational database design. Experience building applications supporting trade capture, portfolio accounting, and market data feeds are essential. Working knowledge of UNIX scripting, .NET technologies, and Perl are considerable pluses.
