Engineering Development Manager For Hedge Fund

My client, an elite hedge fund based in Connecticut, seeks an engineering development manager for their Core Technology group. The Core Technology group is the central tech organization responsible for enabling & enforcing excellent technology across the firm. Their primary role is to provide common software components (core libraries, frameworks, services, etc.) to other technology groups throughout the firm. Within Core Tech, the support team is charged with supporting the mission-critical services of complex, varied, portfolio of core technology assets, as well as a select number of business applications for smaller departments.

Accordingly, the Core Technology group is looking for an Engineering Development manager to come in and lead their support team. The ideal candidate will have extensive technical experience in the application development space, as well as experience with production support of application technology. Must have some experience managing or leading a team. This candidate will be responsible for building out processes to achieve the responsibilities of the team and will be staffing to increase the execution capacity of that team – taking a nascent organization to a well run professional organization. Must have experience with C#.
