Systems Engineer

Responsibilities:
• Act as a principle customer liaison and advocate
• Install and configure the Client’ software product Application and
utilities.
• Operate, maintain and tune the Application for Enterprise-wide asset
discovery
• Perform analysis on discovered asset data and identify areas where
discovery can be improved or performance enhanced
• Assist customer/user with reporting and analysis

General Requirements:
• Must be able to effectively interact and communicate with wide range
of technical and non-technical personnel.
• Team player
• Good problem solving ability

Required Technical Skills:
• Unix
o “Moderate” systems administration (file systems management, user
management, scripting, etc.)
o Network configuration (interfaces, multi-homing, etc.)
o Unix tool skills (grep, awk, sed, tail, etc.)
o Linux experience a big plus
• Networking
o “Moderate” network administration (DNS, DHCP, routing, etc.)
o Strong networking knowledge (Class A/B/C networks, firewalls, NAT, private networks, etc.)
o Network tool skills (traceroute, nmap, ping, etc.)
• Database
o “Moderate” database administration (space management, user
management, loading, exporting, etc.)
o Strong SQL skills
o Oracle experience a big plus
